Placement and Accomodations

Update time:

Everything is finally starting to fall back in to place. Today I received my passport with my new Entry Visa for India. I was a little scared that the kind people of India may not let me in to their country, but they are. I also have received my placement and accommodations, and they are actually the same as they previously were.

I will be working at the R.S. Ortho Hospital in Rajapalayam. This is a privately funded hospital that does general medicine, orthopedics, and physiotherapy. Their are 15 beds one doctor and 6 nurses. The departments are as follows: General Medicine, Orthopedics, Anesthesiology, and Surgery.

They have put me up in the Hotel Anandas Boarding & Lodging in Rajapalayam. I am staying in a single room with two single beds, table and chair, wardrobe, a ceiling fan and an attached bath room with indian closet and bucket + mug shower. Their is a small restaurant on the first floor of the hotel where I will be eating all of my meals. Most of the meals they serve will be vegetarian and are served with rice and lots of rice products.

Thats all for now check back for more info.

Rick! It's your friend Josh that gave you bass lessons in high school. I hope things are well in India. I studied there for about 4 months and did another several months of traveling about a year ago. If you have any questions or find yourself traveling around the north part of India, get in touch with me as I have contacts and a fairly good knowledge of places to check out. Best wishes man on your adventure, I'm sure it will be good.
